You can get own team pet in Wasteland 3.
If you tamed at least one of every type of animal companion you will get Menagerie Achievement.
You can only have one Animal Companion on your team at a time, it does not take up any space in the hero limit of other members of your team.
You need Animal Whisperer Skill to tame Animals.

Billy & Jean - Animal Whisperer 1 - Unique two headed goat, location Hoon Homestead - +0.1% Crit Damage. Double the Fun Achievement if he dont die till the end of game.
Polly the Parrot - Animal Whisperer 7 or Buy - Unique Parrot, location Bizarre Exterior - +5% Evasion

Chicken - Animal Whisperer 1 - location Garden of the Gods - +3% EXP
