Starfield Factions

In Settled Systems, the area of space where the Starfield story takes place, there is no unified authority. Military, economic, religious and political influence is divided among several major factions and many smaller organizations.

Major Factions in Starfield include United Colonies, Free Star Collective, Ryujin Industries and Crimson Fleet. Each of them has its own goals and ideologies, and they clash in conflicts over influence, resources and wealth.

Your character in Starfield can choose more than one faction to join. You will be able to finish all major faction quest lines no matter which one you join.

Constellation

• Constellation is Major Faction in Starfield;

United Colonies

• United Colonies is Major Faction in Starfield;
• United Colonies HQ is located in New Atlantis on the planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system;
• United Colonies is alliance of different colonies which formed a centralized Space Republic;
• United Colonies is biggest force in Settled Systems, both political and military;
• The United Colonies is directed by a council called the Military, Administrative and Scientific Triumvirate;
• Supra et Ultra Achievement - Join the UC Vanguard.

Freestar Collective

• Freestar Collective is Major Faction in Starfield;
• Freestar Collective HQ is located in Akila City on the planet Akila in the Cheyenne system;
• Freestar Collective is confederation of three star systems united by their belief in the sanctity of personal freedom and individuality;
• Second military power in Settled Systems;
• Freestar Collective planets are like "space western fantasy";
• Deputized Achievement - Join the Freestar Rangers.

Crimson Fleet

• Crimson Fleet is Major Faction in Starfield;
• Crimson Fleet HQ, stronghold space station The Key is located in the Kryx system;
• Crimson Fleet is free confederation of individual spaceship captains organized under the same banner of Jolly Roger, faction of Space Pirates;
• Crimson Fleet footholds are located in Sagan, Cheyenne, Lunara, and Narion Systems;
• The Crimson Fleet is a faction of villains and "bad boys";

Ryujin Industries

• Ryujin Industries is Major Faction in Starfield;
• Ryujin Industries HQ is located in Neon City on the planet Volii Alpha in the Volii system;
• Ryujin Industries is industrial mega-corporation.
• Faction with strong Japanese vibe.
• Back to the Grind Achievement - Join Ryujin Industries.

Ryujin Industries was founded by Rei D'Carys and Itaru Saito in 2307. D'Carys had a dream of applying her vast knowledge as a biotech engineer to the improvement of everyday life, and when she met the business minded Itaru Saito, it wasn't long until Ryujin Industries was formed.

Ryujin's first product was based on D'Cary's neurological research and would prove to be a major breakthrough in technology: the neuroamp. Neuroamps would propel Ryujin to the top of the tech industry and solidify their position as a major contender for years to come.

It wasn't long before Ryujin Industries began to look to other major forays into the tech world. In 2310, Taiyo Astroneering joined the fold and continues to be a leader in spacecraft engineering and design today.

With a growing business, D'Carys and Saito worked with Benjamin Bayu to build the massive Ryujin Tower. The incredible effort would showcase the strong relationship between Ryujin Industries and the city of Neon: Ryujin Industries adding to Neon's prestige as something more than just a "pleasure city," and Neon being an attractive bonus to working at Ryujin.

Over time, Ryujin Industries would also incorporate Arboron, DRONE, and Tranquilitea into their family. These subsidiaries would further strengthen Ryujin as a formidable competitor and expand their reach into different aspects of life.

Today, Ryujin continues to be an industry leader with eyes always pointed toward the future.
