South Central Magalan ELEX 2 Map Description

South Central Magalan is the area where you start the game. At the beginning, you will have a short Prologue that will introduce you to the game. The next one is the first significant location - Bastion. The Bastion is your base in the Magalan world, you must rebuild it and fill it with inhabitants. Also in SC Magalan you will find the first settlement of the faction you will visit - The Fort, the headquarters of the Berserkers.

ELEX 2 Walkthrough - Prologue

In the ELEX II Prologue, you learn about the basic rules of the game. You meet Adam, who will later guide you through the storyline of the game. You acquire the Jet Pack, perhaps the most important item in the game, and also meet your first Companion Caja.

Significant places in the game world are numbered on the map. Each number on the map has its equivalent in the description below the map. The number can mean a specific point in the game, as well as an area or building. The sequence of numbers shows suggested order of visiting locations.

Starting Location

The plot of ELEX II begins here. Jax, deprived of weapons and equipment, escapes from his hut where the invaders' ship has landed.

Equip the Damaged Lead Pipe you will find in your inventory.

NOTHING TO LOSE

Nothing To Lose Mission Walkthrough

Everything I had left was taken from me. Hunted by creatures belonging to the strange invaders, I'm forced to find a large settlement of humans to get new equipment and take stock.

The mission directs you north, before you go there, go back to the fire a few steps to the west and collect everything you can find there.

You can fry Raw Meet at Campfire to make Fried Meat, which regenerates lost health.

Go through the tunnel-like pipe, you encounter your first opponent Weak Blood Claw, kill him and go further along the path looking for equipment on the ground.

Loot in ELEX II.

There are tons of items in the world of Magalan. Don't think about each one individually, just collect them all. Some of them will turn out to be worthless, some you will sell later in the store or remade, some will become your equipment.

Just collect whatever you find.

Always search the surroundings as you explore new locations.

Switching between combat and exploration modes is important. In combat mode, you don't interact with the environment and not all options work.

Explore the world always in the exploration mode with a hidden weapon.

The old man, who calls himself Adam, wants to start an army, independent of all other factions, called the 6th Power. He plans to set up its headquarters in the old Bastion at Carakis. Seems like a foolhardy plan that will be difficult to carry out.

The old man who calls himself Adam is obviously very involved in the intrigue between Magalan's factions. His identity is the key to the many secrets he's hiding.

You can start exploring the world.

Jet Pack is an important element of the game because it allows you to move above the ground by flying.

You will develop the Jet Pack and the related skills during the game. At the beginning, the Jet Pack allows you to make high jumps.

Sleeping

Beds and other sleeping places are spread over the land. These are the only places where you can sleep. Their primary function is to cause the passage of time. If you need to wait until morning, sleep is the quickest option.

The lapse of time in the game, contrary to what the NPCs say, is basically insignificant, so sleep as long as you like.

While sleeping, you also rest and regenerate your strength.

Collect Fuel because you can use it to upgrade your Jet Pack.

Simple Bow on the roof of hut, use Jet Pack to reach it. Its your first ranged weapon.

Sunglasses are a great help in the game.

According to the ELEX II storyline, you should now head north. I suggest you a little side jump, using Jet Pack go to [005] and activate DELTARA Teleport, go to (as arrows shows) [006] and pick some stuff, then go to [007] for a really handy at the start of the game PERSPECTIVE Sunglasses that will magically highlight items around you, making it very easy to collect loot.

Next Use Teleport [02] on your in-game map to return to [005], then back to [004] and continue the story.

You won't get here from below, you have to go to the footbridge suspended in the air from above, or fly up using the Jet Pack.

Retrorockets Retrorockets prevent you from falling to your death. If you don't have enough fuel, you burn a retrorocket. You can install retrorockets on your Jet Pack using a jet pack workbench.

Defeating the invaders will require strength and coordination but the factions of Magalan are divided. They skirmish constantly and are always close to war. I have to talk to each faction's leaders to find out who'd make the best partner for the 6th Power. I can join them, convince their fighters to defect and join us, or try something else. I have to do whatever it takes to anchor power in the Bastion. The enemy won't wait so I should work quickly.

In order to find a good partner for the 6th Power, have to talk to experts and important members of each faction, so I can get an idea of what the faction armies are like.

I've become weak. I have to find my center and my fighting spirit again. I could try on my own, but improving my uprooted, homeless circumstances by joining a large community again is a better path. It's good to keep an eye on the smaller factions, like the Clerics and Outlaws, but they won't be able to get me through the first and biggest challenge, basic training. The large communities that can really help me right now are the Berserkers, the Morkons, or the Albs. Or of course I can try to go my own way.

Mining for Dummies

Step 1: Make sure to bring the right tools, unless you're planning on stripping the rock with your bare hands!

Step 2: Don't wander around aimlessly. We'll tell you where to search - see the appendix for details.

Step 3: Hit a vein? Make sure nobody is nearby. A successful prospector never shares their bounty. Jealousy is a hazard in our line of work!

Iron - Keep your eyes peeled for iron veins in caves and tunnel systems. Make sure your helmet is sitting right before you start mining. Don't come complaining to us if you forget and get hit in the noggin by falling rocks.

Sulfur - Make sure you have an ample water supply before taking off in search of sulfur. It's mainly found in very hot areas like lava flows. If you'd prefer to avoid danger, you can try certain shore areas.

Amasite - Got your flippers? Then you won't have any problems finding amasite. Named after the explorer Amadeus, this metal is often found near rivers.

Elexit - Down to your last dime? Then just go find yourself an elexit vein and kiss your worries goodbye. The only problem is that these veins are usually heavily guarded. Prepare for a scuffle with reavers, on other scallywags - elexit veins are known to be near converters.

Gold - A precious metal. To this day, nobody really knows why it's often found near standing bodies of water. The author assumes you probably don't care.

Haridium - Got a jet pack? Then you're one of the lucky few who are able to mine haridium, but it's not going to be easy. You'll find this metal in hard-to-reach places like cliff walls. Make sure you're wearing a decent pair of shoes, otherwise you'll risk ending up like this metal's namesake, the Cleric Harold, who slipped and fell to his death. Don't be a Harold!

ELEX 2 Walkthrough - The Fort, Berserkers Faction

The Fort will be the first faction settlement you visit. The Fort is occupied by Berserkers, ruled by Rat. Start by gaining legal access to the city nu finishing "Admission To The Fort" Admission To The Fort Walkthrough, then explore it and look around.

Main story mission in The Fort is "The Berserkers Trust", to finish it you have to finish "Baxter's Propaganda" (a very important mission with a meaningful choice), and do some minor missions for Scrappy or Tilas or Thorhild.

You will find a few monsters around the entrance, kill them and look for a corpse on the ground. Do not go inside because the air in the mine is toxic.

Put on the gas mask and now you can enter the mine.

In the mine you will find several miner's notes, miners' corpses, iron ores and ore veins.

Your task is to block the gas opening. But it is not possible.

Use the healing potions and the gas mask, run through the corridors of the mine, following the right side of the mine. Eventually you will reach the end of the corridors and you will notice that it is impossible to close the gas hole.

Then come back as soon as you can to the entrance.

I found the gas leak in the mine. I need to tell Scrappy that it's unlikely we'll be able to stop it.

The steel was hardened in the blood of trolls.

The bolts tear horrific wounds.

There is a small watchtower at the gate to the Fort, Fang can be found at its top.

FIREBREATHER

Heavy Weapon, ammunition: Rockets, damage: 150, requirements: DEX 37, STR 37.

Was once used in a fuel depot, so no one knows who used it.

On top level of scaffolding.

BUTTER KNIFE

One-handed Weapon, damage: 120 (Poison Damage), sockets: 3, requirements: STR 64, DEX 45.

An exquisitely forged weapon, made from creatures slain by my hand. Bears the slightly strange name "Butter Knife." Closer to a work of art than a simple weapon. Almost too beautiful for hacking and slashing.
