The first thing you need to do during the Night Market Event is pick a Faction to represent. This is a one-time choice for the duration of the event, meaning you can’t switch sides until it ends, and the decision applies to every character on your account. Factions compete against each other throughout the season. You can only choose a different faction once the Night Market returns and a new season starts.

During Season Zero (2026), there are three available Factions: The Ruckus, The Thousand Eyes, and The Glittering Goad.

Each faction provides unique daily quests and events that help you earn favor. Building your standing with a chosen faction leads to better rewards. Your choice determines the themed rewards you'll earn, including character titles, dyes, cosmetics, furnishings, and monster sets.

The Ruckus

The Ruckus faction relies on raw strength to maintain control. They demand a cut of all sales and offer “protection” to anyone looking to do business in the Night Market. They were on track to run the place until their district was overrun with darkness and grief.

The Thousand Eyes

Thousand Eyes faction is nearly as old as the Night Market itself. It’s made up of the small, the skittering, and the insignificant, but there’s great power in their numbers. They’ve banded together to neutralize the strength of other factions by hunting for knowledge in the crevices and snagging information from overheard conversations.

Patron: Molto the Whisperer - offer daily quests.

The Glittering Goad

Glittering Goad faction takes its name from its amassed wealth. They primarily manage the auctions and stalls throughout the Night Market, taking a cut of every deal. High-end sellers seek out Glittering Goad members to handle their wares to ensure they fetch the best prices. They operate as a meritocracy, believing anyone can make it big in the Night Market, as long as they pay for the privilege.

Patron: Tachien - offer daily quests.

Faction Favor

Completing quests and events in the Night Market earns you Favor with your faction. You can check your current progress on the faction screen while in the area.

As your Favor increases, better rewards become available at faction vendors. You can find these vendors in Starlit Plaza, marked on the map by the Faction Vendor Icon.

Tonic of Portent Favor - The Tonic of Portent Favor recipe provides a 100% bonus to Faction Favor from all enemies and district events for 30 minutes.

Night Market District Entrance

You can find the entrances to the Night Market Districts in Starlit Plaza. Three districts are available during Season Zero (2026):

Skittering Precinct: Infested with crawling creatures that build their nests directly into the walls.
Sorrow’s Friend: A dark district that serves as a haven for anything lurking in the shadows.
The Parch: A place where dry winds rattle bones scattered across an arid landscape.

The Opulent Ordeal 12 Player Trial Entrance

To enter The Opulent Ordeal is 12-Player Trial, you have to finish all 3 Gilded Boss Dungeons (in Skittering Precinct, Sorrow’s Friend and The Parch) and get 3 Opulent Key Fragment to create Opulent Key.

Facing the Opulent Bosses (Opulent Web Eater, Opulent Arid Varlet, Opulent Knightshade) in the Opulent Ordeal Trial is the ultimate challenge within the Night Market for those who have cleared all previous objectives.

Night's Den House

Night's Den is a free player house available during the Night Market Event.

"The Night Market provides vast opportunities, including a former bank vault in need of a new owner. Hoard your wealth—and your faction's secrets—inside. Plus, decorate your den with faction furnishings as you gain favor with your chosen group!"

Night's Den is a Notable House located in Starlit Plaza within the Night Market. When the event isn't active, you can still reach it through a portal west of The Shambles Wayshrine in Fargrave.

Unlocking the house requires completing the "Those Who Would Rule" main quest in the Night Market story. It’s a straightforward task, making the Night's Den one of the most valuable rewards the event offers.

The House is unique because the base version is just the start. You can personally unlock three additional wings by collecting Night Market Relics while exploring the Districts.

At 1000 Favor, you can display faction banners in the courtyard. Future events allow you to add colors from other factions.

Reaching 3000 Favor grants you a fully functional Bank inside the house with access to personal and guild storage.

The Currency Vault visually represents your current gold balance using physical piles of treasure.


