Big Pete runs a garage out here in the Badlands, fixes up clunkers for the Raffen Shiv. Before that he was hustling as a techie in Night City. Now, Pete's not your definition of a nice guy. Soon enough he made some powerful enemies and had to skip town.
Just so happens Pete's enemies are my friends and I owe said friends a favor. You make Big Pete eat dust – I get one less favor to owe.

His buddy (and Militech employee), Archibald Crane, found out about the situation through the grapevine. I'll be damned if that cuckoo corpo actually decided to help his friend instead of towing the corpo line. He contacted me to get Bruce out of his cage.
You're the missing element in this friendship triangle. Find to Bruce, break him out, and escort him to his chombatta, Archie. And let's make sure Militech doesn't notice a thing, OK? Get to it.
A fixer's worth no more and no less than their last promise. And I promised Benedict McAdams I'd get him out of town once he checked off a job for me.
Benedect's one devil of a pro. Just six hours in of taking the job and Councilman McClean's heart beat for the last time – that fat fish I'd had dangling on my line too long. The risk of a slip-up was high, so before he set to it, Benedict installed a GPS in his biomon so I could have an eye in the sky on him, as it were.
This slickster didn't work alone, mind you – had a driver, Jason Wildriver. The problem is, instead of hauling quick across the border, Jason went off route. Something here stinks worse than McClean's fishy corpse.
Find them and bring me Benedict. I'll find him a new driver.
There's a popular saying among the Aldecaldos: "she who lives in the hearts of her loved ones can never truly die." Trevor Brass might indeed live on in memory, but if he had just keep his butt planted instead of dealing with Wraiths he'd still be just plain alive.
I digress. Yesterday, man of mine spotted Trevor's car at a Wraiths' nest. The car had more holes than it started with and the Wraiths aren't known for taking prisoners.
Trevor's relatives, as I mentioned, belong to the Aldecaldos. They aren't out for revenge. They just want to bury their son.

A multimillion eurodollar undertaking, an industrial feat, two million hectoliters of toxic water and hundreds of flooded homes. Welcome to the Badlands.
When the dam was under construction, it was obvious there would also be a reservoir – which sounded great in theory. The townsfolk put that piece of knowledge in the back of their heads and didn't stop to wonder why they needed a dam, why here of all places, and who was profiting from it. Spoiler alert: it wasn't the town's residents, and since losers don't get to write history, any memory of them and their tragedy evaporated from the collective consciousness as quickly as the morning dew on a hot summer's morning.
Las Palapas is a chain of low-budget motels known for attracting clientele a little rougher around the edges. The hallways smell of mold, one in three beds have bedbugs and the bathrooms are sticky with... God knows what. Although it may not always be easy to tell from the outside, some Las Palapas locations are abandoned and now occupied by junkies, bums hard-on-their-luck sex workers. Honestly, the only real difference between an open location and closed location is the latter is free.
The border between North and South California is marked by a thick, forbidding wall meant to prevent smuggling and illegal crossings. The checkpoint is guarded by the SoCal border patrol, which is backed by corporate forces. You'll need plenty of skill, cunning, sometimes even a dash of luck to get through.
Not every Night Citizen knows (and few probably even think about it all), but most of the stuff they call "meat" actually comes from protein farms. No matter if it's "beef" ramen at the market in Kabuki, or some shish kebab in Westbrook, or a burger in Heywood – they all start on the farm. Most "meat" products are derived from mass-farmed worms, which are ground into a meat-like substance known as scop. (Although the SCOP acronym originally stood for "Single-Celled Organic Protein", it has evolved into an umbrella term for many synthetic-meat and meat-adjacent products.) This scop base product is then shipped off to be pumped full of dyes and flavorings for a variety of products on the market. After all, it takes a little work to "beef up" those bugs.
The minefield out in the Badlands is a legacy of wars long past. The mines were never cleared, meaning the field now serves as "natural" border protection. The only people who know how to cross it safely are smugglers.
Access to Tarot Cards will become open to you (you will see them on the walls) at the beginning of Act 2, during the "Fool on the Hill" mission for Misty. You have to scan them with Scanner, check the location of all Cards on All Tarot Cards Location.

The Star is the card of hope. In the darkest of nights there is a light that shines the path to home. The Star is inspiration, motivation and gives us strength to move forward.
Once you start Act 2, the fixer in the district will start sending you offers for cars that you can buy. Besides the amount you have to pay, it is sometimes up to your Street Cred to get an offer. You have to go to the place marked by the marker on the map and make the transaction.

Quadra Type-66 Javelina
Although the Quadra Type-66 was designed with city streets in mind, you can still find them out cruising the desert wastes. These modified models, called Javelinas, are equipped with light armor plating and expertly tuned engines.
