Hadret House is in Brackenbury district of Defiance Bay City.

You came here for Rogue Knight Quest from Admeth's Den (04)

01 Entrance from Brackenbury (03)

Brackenbury

The orlan man is surrounded by books and scrolls. His wiry hair stands nearly on end, and his ears prick up as you approach. "You carry whispers. Caed Nua, Gilded Vale. Old voices, indeed."

NPC: Kurren

Show the affidavit to Commander Clyver.

Osric was right - Dunryd Row found that Penhelm shared a soul legacy with a general who opposed Dyrwoodan independence. The Crucible Knights would never have admitted him.

The document I have is a fake affidavit created to hide Penhelm's tainted soul legacy. Kurren has suggested that his superior officer at Crucible Keep, Commander Clyver, can have him dealt with.

Go to Crucible Keep

When you exit Hadret House, Penhelm will wait outside.

For The Hermit of Hadret House Quest

03

This woman clutches a thick stack of parchment with spindly, wrinkled fingers, their flesh stretched thin to near translucence with extreme age, a gossamer veil over pale blue veins. Ink splotches and candle burns and the scars of innumerable slices from the edges of scrolls dot and stripe her hands like a quilt patterned after some great, indescribable truth.

She does not look up from her reading.

"So the messenger conveyed my summons. A miracle that would make the reincarnation of Eothas look like a child's cantrip, surely. It doesn't draw the most inspired minds, messaging. They've failed me so many times of late I nearly sent a cipher after you instead."

She glances up from her readings for the first time and looks you over. "So this is the Watcher who took over Caed Nua. Oh, don't look so surprised, it isn't an attractive expression. I wouldn't be where I am for long if I let details like that escape me."

NPC: Lady Webb

Inform Lady Webb about the Leaden Key's activities.

Lady Webb has asked me to keep her informed any time I learn more about the Leaden Key's activities in Dyrwood. Anything I can discover in pursuing the leads I obtained in the catacombs of the Woedican church would be useful to her.

After having run across Thaos in Brackenbury Sanitarium, I let Lady Webb know that he seemed to be trying to destroy the reputations of animancers.
