Expedition basics in New World

Expeditions in New World are instanced PvE dungeons, intended for a group of 5 players with the appropriate level of experience. Expeditions are the equivalent of Multiplayer Dungeons known from MMO games.

Each of the Expeditions is described by a separate story, it consists in solving puzzles and fighting with unique mini-bosses and Bosses for unique loot. You can access the Expedition after reaching the 25th experience level.

• Explore the excavation.
• Use the Azoth Staff to undo the Azoth Seal and unlock the gate.
• Find Simon Grey's investigation of the Ancient's Technology.
• Restore the Bridge Mechana.
• Use the Azoth Staff to translate the Azoth Scripts in the Excavated Caverns. Hidden within the Azoth Scripts is a clue to unlocking the Bridge Mechana.
• Find the Broken Vestibule. The Azoth Script indicates a power source is located in the chamber.
• Activate the Vestibule's Azoth Seal to restore the Bridge Mechana.
• Defeat the Vestibule Chamber's Guardians.
• Activate the Bridge Mechana.
• Defeat the Abomination and Find the Hallowed Candle.
• Continue to explore the excavation.
• Place the Hallowed Candle on the Spectral Shrine.
• Defeat Foreman Nakashima and the Lost Workers.
• Find What Remains Of Simon Grey.
• Defeat Simon Grey!
• Return to the surface to pursue the truth of Simon's research.

The stars hide the answers like secret whispers clutched to the heart. Retrieve the Starstone Diadem from Greundgul the Regent inside The Starstone Barrows.

Location: Everfall

Requires: 1 Azoth Staff

• Retrieve the Starstone Diadem from Greundgul the Regent inside The Starstone Barrows.
• Explore the halls for a path to the Shattered Obelisk.
• Use the Azoth Staff to enter the Sealed Chamber.
• Continue to explore the ancient complex.
• Navigate through the Forbidden Passage. Gain Arcane Protection to pass through the barriers.
• Continue to explore for a path to the Shattered Obelisk.
• Use the Azoth Staff to gain access to the Shattered Obelisk.
• Defeat the Obelisk's guardians and then approach the Shattered Obelisk.
• Search for a way to navigate through the arcane barriers.
• Gain Arcane Protection.
• Search for the key to gain entry to the Crypt of the Regent.
• Disconnect the power lock on the Ancient Shrine and use the shrine to bless the Obelisk Key.
• Use the Blessed Obelisk Key to enter the Crypt of the Regent.
• Proceed into the Crypt of the Regent.
• Approach Greundgul the Regent.
• Defeat Greundgul the Regent.
• Leave The Starstone Barrows.

• Find something to bust through the collapsed debris around the exit
• Gather more gunpowder to clear the debris
• Plant the explosives to blast open the blocked door
• Find more gunpowder in the pirate's stashes to clear the blocked passage to the docks
• Return to the blocked passage to the docks and blast through
• Proceed to the docks
• Disrupt the Black Flag Pirates from stealing the stolen goods and arms
• Find more explosives to disrupt the Black Flag Pirates from stealing the stolen goods and arms
• Plant the explosives to destroy the Black Flag booty
• Defeat the Pirate Brute Captain
• Hunt down the Black Flag Sharpshooters
• Defeat the Black Flag Captain
• Follow the Black Flag pirates to their stronghold
• Defeat the Black Flag First Mate
• Hunt down the remaining Black Flag Officers

Location: Edengrove

Requires: 1 Azoth Staff, 1 Mining Pickaxe, 1 Harvesting Sickle

• The Blight must be stopped!
• Find the source of the Blight, and learn how to cleanse it.
• Collect a sample of the Concentrated Blight. It will be useful to understanding more.
• Search for a way forward. The lower garden exits are choked with Concentrated Blight.
• Defeat Taxodius, guardian of the nursery.
• Seek an Imbued Shrine to cleanse the Concentrated Blight.
• Clear the Blighted Pool of Fiends.
• Cleanse the sample of Concentrated Blight.
• Plant the Azoth Seed at the Imbued Font and Defend the Sapling.
• Gather a Sapling branch. It will be useful.
• Search for the Purifying Flame to clear the walls of Concentrated Blight.
• The Caretaker has lost his way. Defeat him and seek a Purifying Flame.
• Light the Purifying Flame using the Azoth Sapling. A shrine has been revealed.
• Use the an Azoth Staff to carry the Purifying Flame and clear the way.
• Use the purifying flame to clear the Concentrated Blight.
• Use the map chamber to locate the Blighted Heart of Genesis.
• Carry the Purifying Flame to the Conservatory. Defend the Flame Bearer.
• Defeat the Archer Fulg'da.
• Go now to the Blighted Heart of Genesis. It must be purified.
• Defeat the Blighted Greenskeeper.
• Return to the surface, the Blighted Heart of Genesis has been cleansed.

• Venture further into the site.
• Use the azoth glyphs to seal shut the Ancient Azoth Portals.
• Continue to explore the Lazarus Instrumentality.
• Unlock the Azoth Seal to open a way forward.
• Defeat the guardians blocking the path.
• Proceed into The Tributarium.
• Return up the stairs of The Tributarium towards the Bathe Chambers.
• Cleanse yourselves in Azoth Imbued Water.
• Return to Cilla.
• Defeat Cilla.
• Proceed to The Last Walk and begin the next trial.
• Survive until the trial has completed.
• Continue further into the Lazarus Instrumentality.
• Unlock the Azoth Seal from the Bathe Chambers.
• Navigate towards the Heart of the Lazarus Instrumentality.
• Defeat the onslaught of guardians to open a way forward.
• Continue towards the Heart of the Lazarus Instrumentality.
• Defeat Khamruset Arcanist.
• Gather the Ancient Guardian Heart.
• Bring the Ancient Guardian Heart to the device at the center of the Lazarus Instrumentality.
• Defeat Chardis.
• Leave the Lazarus Instrumentality.
