World Events are open to everyone, designed for a large number of players, events repeated in a specific place at a specific time.
To participate in World Events, you may or may not be joining a group or raid, you just need to be in the World Events area and be active.
You have to wait from several to several dozen minutes to start the next Event, depending on the location. The start of the next World Event is announced by a visual and sound effect visible from a distance (or visible on the map as in the case of Dragonscours).
After the World Event is over, you need to collect your reward, depending on the intensity of your activity. You can find her most often in the center of the location.
Dark Anchors
Dark Anchor World Events type can be found in the base Alliance locations Glenumbra, Stormhaven, Rivenspire, Alik'r Desert, Bangkorai, Stonefalls, Deshaan, Shadowfen, Eastmarch, The Rift, Auridon, Grahtwood, Greenshade, Malabal Tor, Reaper's March and in Cyrodiil, you can find them in locations called Dolmens.
Each base zone contains 3 Dolmens with potential Dark Anchors and there are 10 Dolmens in Cyrodiil with potential Dark Anchors.
Dark Anchors are the easiest type of World Events, high level players should be able to complete them solo, and for a group of players, Dark Anchors is an easy challenge.

There are 6 potential spots in Summerset coast where Abyssal Geysers spawns.

Dragonscours
Dragonscour World Events type can be found in Southern Elsweyr (The Elder Scrolls Online: Dragonhold DLC) and Northern Elsweyr (The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Chapter).
This type of event is about defending against dragon attacks. There are 3 such sites in Northern Elsweyr and 2 in Southern Elsweyr. The precise landing sites of a dragon vary, but always close to the designated point.
Before the attack, the dragon is circling the land, you can see it on the map in the game and you can also see the place where it lands.

Harrowstorms
Harrowstorm World Events type can be found in ritual sites in Western Skyrim (The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor Chapter), Blackreach: Greymoor Caverns (The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor Chapter) and The Reach (The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth DLC).
In a given zone, only one Harrowstorm Event can be active at a time, the order in which Events appear is random.

Oblivion Portals to Atoll of Immolation
Oblivion Portal World Events type can be found in Blackwood (The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood Chapter).

Early experiments of Mehrunes Dagon, Oblivion Portals tear through the fabric of the planes as Dagon's cultists attempt to breach a pathway to Nirn. The forces that appear on the portal's outskirts represent a mere scouting expedition, while the true challenge lies inside the portal itself-within the Deadlands Atoll of Immolation. To complete an Oblivion Portal, you will need to find Mehrunes Dagon's general at the center-most island and defeat him, the Havocrel Duke of Storms.
Oblivion Portals are not marked on the map. They appear randomly throughout Blackwood and The Deadlands. When a portal opens, it will only remain in this state for a limited time. Once you enter the portal, however, you can stay within Atoll of Immolation until you complete your goal or choose to leave via wayshrine or by traveling to another player.
