Flaws are permanen negative perks that our character can get during the gameplay in The Outer Worlds
Flaws are permanen negative "perks" that our character can get during the gameplay, for example if you perform poorly against certain types of opponents, your character may develop a phobia against them.
Picking the flaw is optional (at easy difficulty levels), but it does reward the player with an extra perk point.
You can have up to five flaws at the same time on at the highest level of difficulty and three on a normal level.
Cynophobia
Cause: Being attacked by Canids
Effect: Perception -1, Perception -1, Temperament -1
Herpetophobia
Cause: Repeated encounters with Mantisaurs
Effect: Dexterity -1, Perception -1, Temperament -1
Paranoid
Cause: Repeatedly getting caught by guards in Restricted Areas
Effect: Personality Attributes -1
Plasma Weakness
Cause: Getting burned too many times
Effect: Plasma Damage Received +25%
Raptiphobia
Cause: Repeated encounters with Raptidons
Effect: Endurance -1, Willpower -1, Temperament -1
Robophobia
Cause: Repeated encounters with Automechanicals
Effect: Dexterity -1, Perception -1, Temperament -1
Corrosive Weakness
Cause: Getting burned too many times
Effect:Corrosion Damage Received +25%
