Vernworth City Map Walkthrough

You first arrive in Vernworth City with Gregor, escorting Oxcard from Melve who was blocked by Cyclops in East Vermund during the "Dragon's Wake" Main Quest.

Gate

When you arrive you meet Brant. Talk to him in Guardhouse.

Guardhouse

Talk to Brant for "Seat of the Sovran" Main Quest and to complete "In Dragon's Wake" Main Quest.

Upstairs: Take Fluted Bow from chest you will need it soon for "Gift of the Bow" Side Quest.

Seeker's Token outside wall, you have to go around.

When you leave the Guardhouse, you are stopped by a boy running away from the guard, you will meet him later, but don't run after him for now. Lie to the guard.

You meet Flora, whom you helped in Melve. Talk to her later.

North Vernworth Oxcart Station

We will first restore the Oxcart service between Vernworth City and Melve. Approach the Oxcard calling bell and use it.

Wait for Donovan and talk to him.

Oxcart Courier Side Quest

Prerequisites: Finish "In Dragon’s Wake" Main Quest, on your first visit in Vernworth.

Starting Location: Oxcart Station near North Gate in Vernworth.

Quest Giver: Donovan.

Time Limited: Yes.

Quest Reward: 5000G, Miner’s Hosen.

Oxcart service to Melve has resumed, and the proprietor of the carts has asked your aid in inspecting the road and delivering a letter. This could make a nice change of pace.

You have to take Oxcart to Melve, deliver letter to Lennart and return to Vernworth to Donovan.

Complete the "Oxcart Courier" Side Quest, go to Melve by Oxcart now, and open the Oxcart route with Melve and activate Melve Oxcart Station.

Auriol Stand

Auriol he sells a small assortment, but he is for "The Ornate Box" Side Quest, he has an Ornate Box. You helped his granddaughter in Melve during the "Medicament Predicament" Side Quest.

Flora you helped her in Melve during the "Medicament Predicament" Side Quest. If you talk to her now she will give you Chirurgeon's Tome, you can use it to teach your Pawn Chirurgeon Specialization.

Sven mysterious boy you previously encountered running away from the guard, he wants Ornate Box.

The Ornate Box Side Quest

Prerequisites: Finish "In Dragon’s Wake" Main Quest and meet Sven in Vernworth.

Starting Location: Merchant Quarter, near Auriol Stand.

Quest Giver: Auriol and Sven.

Time Limited: No.

Quest Reward: 4000 GC, Courtly Tunic, Courtly Breeches.

Amidst the bustle and clamor of Vernworth’s marketplace, you espy a young man arguing with the proprietor of one of the shops.

Buy Ornate Box from Auriol and give it to Sven. Meet Sven 3 times near fountain (12) for more rewards.

Roderick's Smithy

First talk to Glyndwr in the front of Roderick's Smithy for Side Quest.

Gift of the Bow Side Quest

Prerequisites: Finish "In Dragon’s Wake" Main Quest and meet Glyndwr in Vernworth.

Starting Location: Merchant Quarter, near Roderick's Smithy.

Quest Giver: Glyndwr.

Time Limited: No.

Quest Reward: 8500 GC, Ring of Proximity.

You encountered Glyndwer, a lone elf wandering the streets of Vernworth. Elves are typically withdrawn and reluctant to travel, but curiosity has drawn this one out of the forest.

Give Glyndwr Fluted Bow you found in chest in Guardhouse (02).

Meet Glyndwr north of Trevo Mine in Archer Vocation.

Inside: Roderick, talk to him, he can Enchance Equipment, sells Weapons.

It seems certain vocations are unavailable for registration at the guild hall at present, unless you have the weapons required on hand. Perhaps the townsfolk can tell you more.

To get to the Grand Riftstone Roof, climb the outside ladder on the first floor of Shakir's Inn and jump from roof to roof.

You will find 3 chests on the Grand Riftstone Roof:

  • Ferrystone
  • Savant's Boots Leg Armor
  • Silver Rapier Weapon

Quest Reward: 5000G - the reward changes depending on how you complete the Quest.

Albert of the slums seems to be doing quite well for himself, but even his fellow beggars are baffled by how much coin he has in spite of his meager means.

By making friends with a seller in a store or by shopping there frequently, you have a chance to receive rare items and expand the available assortment.

Inns - Dragon's Dogma 2

Staying at an inn fully restores your party's Health and Stamina. It also recovers the loss gauge, which represents a reduction in your Health and accumulates when taking damage.

At Inns you have access to your personal Storage, same Storage can be accessed in any Inn. All stored items will be kept fresh as long as they are in Storage.

The Inn also serves as a Vocation Guild in smaller towns, to manage your Vocations (Character Class).

When resting at an inn, you can choose whether to rise in the morning or at night-useful if you need to set out at a particular time. Foresighted adventurers will stay at inns regularly, to avoid risks when traveling far afield.

A place out of towns, to rest for your Party. If you have a Camping Kit you can regenerate here like in a regular Inn. Before you start resting, eliminate all enemies in the area to avoid being attacked while you sleep

Small Dungeons, usually underground, with items and valuables guarded by monsters.

There is often more than one entrance to a Dungeon.

Portcrystals - Dragon's Dogma 2

Portcrystals

Fast Travel Teleporters in Dragon’s Dogma 2, use Ferrystone to teleport to any other previously discovered Portcrystal.

Fast Travel is not popular in Dragon's Dogma 2, which is why you will only find a few Portcrystals.

"A Trial of Archery" Side Quest in Sacred Arbor you will be able to get your own Portcrystal as an item. You can also buy it later in-game.

Riftstones - Dragon's Dogma 2

Riftstones (Regular Riftstones)

Riftstones available in Towns and important locations. Their function is to summon Support Pawns. You summon Pawns at an experience level similar to your own. Different Riftstones have the ability to select Pawns with specific properties.

You can try to rebuild the Forgotten Riftstone and if you succeed, a new Regular Riftstone will be created.

Forgotten Riftstones - Dragon's Dogma 2

Forgotten Riftstones (Free Pawn)

Destroyed Riftstones scattered around the land that you can rebuild. When you try to rebuild Forgotten Riftstone, two things can happen (they are not random, but assigned to a specific place):

  • Riftstone will be restored - then it will turn into a Regular Riftstone with a specific feature assigned to the summoned Pawns in it.
  • It will be permanently destroyed - and one time will summon a random high-level Pawn that you can recruit for free. And this is exactly this type of Riftstone.
Main Quests - Dragon's Dogma 2

Main Quests

The starting location for Main Quests, which are part of the game's plot and create the storyline.

There are 16 Main Quests in Dragon's Dogma 2 and it's hard to miss another one as the end of one begins the next. By following the numbering order of Main Quests, you can see where the game's plot will take you next. Completing the storyline, i.e. completing all Main Quests, will take you about 30 hours.

Side Quests - Dragon's Dogma 2

Side Quests

Starting locations for Side Quests, which are additional tasks you can perform in the world of Dragon's Dogma 2. These are separate closed stories.

In the game with over 50 Side Quests, completing them will take you twice as much time as the main story. Completing Side Quests is not necessary to complete the game, but it can often make it much easier.
