Beginnings Main Quest

Beginnings is the first Main Quest (01) you encounter in Star Wars Outlaws, accompanying you from the beginning of the game.

Starting Location: Kay's room in The Broken Hoof cantina in the city of Canto Bight on the planet Cantonica.

Everyone in Canto Bight will be focused on the Canto Cup race, which is the perfect time for a job. Kay knows that the Sixth Kin keep identicards in their safe at Club Tarsus. She will need one to finally hitch a ride off-world.

Save the game manually

During this Quest you will not be able to save the game manually, you must rely on automatic saves that are performed during the Quest steps.

The game mechanics prevent you from manually saving the game state during the Quests. Since the plot of the beginning of the game goes directly from one main quest to another, manual saves will only be possible after completing the 4th Main Quest Underworld.

Access to in-game map

In the initial period of the game you do not have access to the map, follow the indications of the Quest goal that you will find on the game radar at the top of the screen.

Canto Bight is exclusive and expensive, drawing wealthy visitors from every corner of the galaxy to enjoy the finest recreation and entertainment available. On the southern stretch of the city lies the Worker's District, home to the city's workers as well as opportunists looking to exploit the city's abundance of wealth.

Canto Bight - Canto Bight is a city of contrast. It was built for the sole purpose of offering the greatest, most exclusive and expensive entertainment available in the galaxy, but it also contains a vibrant Worker's District where thousands of people reside making a living off the tourism. The city is constantly evolving, with new distractions constructed onto the city's core ever cycle.

These betting consoles cover live broadcasts and give racing enthusiasts live updates and odds, along with commentary straight from the race track in Canto Bight.

South Stretch Worker's District (07:27)

You are in South Stretch Worker's District, go find Preeban's Shop for Main Quest, follow yellow marker on game radar.

You can use Nix's skills to collect items and rob passersby.

South Stretch Worker's District - The Worker's District in Canto Bight was established when the city was first constructed, and it has lived on for years as its own separate district. This is where construction workers, hosts, valets, maintenance staff, and countless other worker's live, hidden away from the luxurious façade of the Casino District. Over time, the Worker's District has been reconfigured, with many buildings demolished with little forewarning.

Repair the data spike at Preeban's shop (11:12)

Preeban won't fix Broken Data Spike for free, you'll need to collect 100 credits before returning to him.

Aquire credits to pay Preeban (12:28)

  • You can use Nix to steal credits from the pockets of the Guards who are walking around the bazaar, they always have some credits on them;
  • You can collect stray items and sell them in nearby shops;
  • Once you have 100 credits, return to Preeban's Shop;

Find a way into Club Tarsus (14:55)

Bouncers won't let you into Club Tarsus through the main entrance, go into the side alley to the left of the entrance.

  • Find the open garage door and go inside;
  • Use Data Spike on the inside door to unlock it.

Lockpicking with Data Spike

In order to break into locked rooms or containers, Kay will need a Data Spike. Luckily, she just repaired it and has it in her inventory.

Using the Data Spike is a mini rhythm game that involves repeating a sequence of sounds you hear. It starts with two sounds, but later in the storyline, you will need to repeat longer sequences.

You can set the difficulty level and method of opening locks in the game settings if this puzzle starts to tire you out. You can even turn off this mini-game completely.

It is important that none of the guards see you when you are trying to break in.

  • Use grappling hook to climb up;
  • Jump onto the wall and climb along the ledge to the other side of the wall;
  • Find a locked door with a window next to it, through the window you can see a door switch, use Nix to press the switch and open the door.
  • Step inside the Club.

Steal the forged identicard in the office (18:49)

While the club has headlined some celebrated musicians over the years looking for credibility, it's also a place where the hardened Sixth Kin enforcers and their associates do business with smuggling, blackmail and assassinations.

Escape from Club Tarsus (25:22)

  • Run away, go through the second door in the office.
  • Go up the stairs on the left to the side street.
  • Climb the wall, open doors.
  • There are three enemies inside that you must neutralize.
  • Find the Vent and enter it. Climb up the ladder to the roof.

Go back to the Broken Hoof (28:35)

Jumping across rooftops and catwalks, passing through empty rooms, head towards the yellow marker on the radar marking the location of the Broken Hoof Cantina.

Go to Kay's room (29:47)

Go up to Kay's room and talk to Bram.

From your room you watch the Sixth Kin Enforcers looking for you. Wait for them to exit the Canteen, talk to Bram, say goodbye to him, and go outside.

Ending of Beginnings Main Quest

Leaving The Broken Hoof ends the Beginnings Main Quest. Kay must escape, she has one more task to complete in Canto Bight to provide her with funds to escape. This quest is the Outlaws Main Quest which is the next one after the Beginnings Main Quest.
