Roadside Surprise - Klaus the Brave Walkthrough
During the straightforward "Ambrus's Transports: Roadside Surprise" Court Quest, where you simply wipe out a group of Brencis's soldiers, you will run into Klaus the Brave.
While looting the blood barrels, you will find Klaus the Brave hiding inside one of them. Talk to this self-proclaimed revolutionary to decide his fate:
- Encourage him to keep fighting. You will read about his heroic deeds later in the story.
- Discourage him. Klaus goes home and eventually joins Brencis's army, which you will learn about from a letter down the road.
- Drain his blood. Klaus disappears from the story completely.
Either way, this encounter is just for flavor and carries no real consequences for the main plot.
Quest Lore & Objectives
Ambrus's soldiers are busy transporting barrels of blood. I could make sure they don't reach their destination.
- Defeat the guards
- Check the barrels
When I got to destroying the blood barrels, I certainly didn't expect to find a man hiding inside one of them. He wanted to join the manumits and I tried to talk him out of it - we don't need more people throwing their lives away like that.
