You first arrive to Necropolis Halls in The Grand Necropolis form The Lighthouse 7 Map in Chapter 7 to complete "Where the Dead Must Go" Story Quest and recruit Emmrich Companion.
Until you complete this quest, most of the puzzles and treasures in Necropolis Halls will be unavailable.
WHERE THE DEAD MUST GO STORY QUEST
Necropolis Halls - Find Emmrich in the Grand Necropolis - Travel to the Necropolis Halls via the Crossroads or fast travel.
The team enters the mysterious Grand Necropolis to recruit Fade expert Emmrich Volkarin, but evil mages have plans of their own.
Bellara has the name of a Fade expert: Professor Emmrich Volkarin, senior necromancer. But the professor is away on an expedition. To recruit him, the team must brave the shadowy depths of the Grand Necropolis of Nevarra.

The team enters the mysterious Grand Necropolis to recruit Fade expert Emmrich Volkarin, but evil mages have plans of their own.
Drawing on his necromantic powers, Emmrich banished the despair demons infesting the Shrouded Halls and drove out the invading Venatori. Learning that malevolent ancient gods are causing chaos in the Fade, the professor joined the team to help stop these mystical threats to creation. Unbeknownst to him, the Venatori plot is the beginning of a chain of events that will lead Emmrich to a dark figure from his past.
