When the team takes a trip into the past, they must fight in an ancient battle that turned the tide of war.

If you get close to a blighted tree, you'll see information about how many Darkspawns you need to kill to get to the tree and how many you've already killed.
All the Darkspawns you find in Heights of Athim count, so run around the location and kill the appropriate number.
The final step is to break through to the center of the tree.

Climb leadder and take Zipline to other side.
Approach to Pale Reflections Gate
To proceed further you must destroy 4 Blight Boils. You have previously destroyed 2 from outside in [15] and in [17], you will find 2 more inside the room, destroy them. The last step is to break through the passage to [19].

When the gods use blighted roots to block off eluvians in the Crossroads, the team must defeat their champions to break the spell.
The gods are slowing down the team in the Crossroads by magically sealing off paths leading to more eluvians. This magic is tied to the gods' champions, powerful entities roaming the mortal world. To travel freely, the team must defeat these champions and use their essence to break the seals.
