Crimson Desert Map: All 8 Ancient Spire locations
Map with location of all 8 Ancient Spires and Gate to Advancement in Crimson Desert, Crimson Desert Maps and Guide.
Crimson Desert Map: Spires
In Crimson Desert, you'll find 8 Ancient Spires. These puzzle towers act as gateways to The Abyss. Finishing a Spire gives you permanent access to specific zones inside Abyss. Most Spires stay locked behind story progression. Even if you spot them while exploring, you usually cannot clear them without a particular key or context from the main quests. Every tower features its own set of mechanics.
The final one is the Gate to Advancement. It isn't an Ancient Spire but a unique puzzle tower leading to the Eternal Corridor with Skypillar Archipelago, Steamclouds Station, Steelsail Archipelago, and the Clockwork Heart.
| Spire | Description |
|---|---|
Spire of the Stars |
Hernand, Chapter 4: "The Price of Knowledge". A spire located within the Scholastone Institute. From its summit, one can gaze upon the Scholastone Institute, Kharonso, Calphade, and Hernand. Legend claims it was built long ago by the ancestors of trolls. |
Spire of Soaring |
Demeniss, Chapter 5: "Toward the Nest". A spire located in the Byron Estate. From its summit, one can see the Byron Estate, northern Demeniss, the Musket Military Base, and the Crimson Desert. It is said that in ages past, someone sought enlightenment by climbing and descending this spire. |
Spire of Insight |
Hernand, available after solving the pebble puzzle. |
Spire of Ringing Truth |
Pailune, requires climbing and ringing the bell. A spire located in Skoghorn. From its summit, one can gaze upon Skoghorn, the Argent Peaks, Calphade, and Five-Finger Mountain. Built atop snowy peaks and battered by icy winds, the spire still stands proud and unbroken. |
Spire of Clockwork |
Demeniss, Chapter 8: Requires Spire of Clockwork Key from "A Fleeting Dream". A spire located atop Breezeblown Knoll. From its summit, one can gaze upon the Elemore Estate, the Musket Military Base, the Crimson Desert, and the Republic of Delesyia. In ancient times, someone built this spire to take in the beauty of the land at a single glance. |
Spire of Frost |
Demeniss, requires ice resistance and lighting 7 lanterns. A spire located within the Eye of Ice. While the Eye of Ice itself is profoundly alien, this tower-radiating a piercing, frigid aura-only heightens the sense of displacement. It is said that no soul ever treads upon the spiral stairs that wind toward the summit, both inside and out. |
Spire of the Sun |
Crimson Desert, Chapter 9: "Unwavering Steps". A spire located in the Crimson Desert. From its summit, one can gaze upon the Crimson Desert, Demeniss, the Musket Military Base, and Urdavah. Once it shone in splendor, but now the sandstorms have worn away its glory, leaving only faded memories of the past. |
Jijeong Temple Pagoda |
Serpent Marsh, Chapter 9: "Face the Inner Self", doesn't have classic puzzles, you simply climb to the top as part of a story mission. A spire located atop the Morning Mist Peaks. While the structure itself is not particularly tall compared to others, it possesses a presence that remains unrivaled. Its mysterious and alien construction evokes a sense of stability and comfort, yet commands a profound feeling of reverence. |
Gate to Advancement |
Delesyia, must have Visione (item). A spire located atop Mount Benus. Standing atop the peak, where all neighboring nations are visible, is a unique spire built by Marni. Constructed to showcase his genius to the world, the spire is a physical manifestation of Marni's own confidence. Unlike other spires, he chose to name it as a "Gate," a decision that offers a glimpse into Marni's distinctive personality. |
