Resources Map for Post Apo Tycoon

Gold

Gold is the basic currency in Post Apo Tycoon, you earn it through Settlements, Structures and Terrain types, and you can also mine it through Gold Mines.

All your actions in the game should aim to increase the amount of gold you earn.

Gold Vein

Gold Veins are locations where you can obtain Gold.

There are approximately 1,000 Gold Veins on a standard map. You can build a gold mine on such a tile. There are several increasingly advanced types of mines.

Most Gold Veins are randomly distributed on land and sea.

There are places where Gold Veins are grouped into clusters; these locations are not random and are marked on the map.

You should build the most efficient mine possible on each Gold Vein.

Gems

Gems are the premium currency in Post Apo Tycoon. You can obtain them:

• by purchasing them with real money;
• occasionally as rewards, bonuses, and in treasure chests and by wrecking ships;
• by watching advertisements;
• by placing a mine on a Gem Field;
• by smashing randomly placed Gem Rocks in the sea.

Gem Field

A Gem Field is a location where you can mine Gems.

There are 8 Gem Fields on the Standard Map and 2 Gem Fields on the Expansion Maps.

You can build a Gem Mine here, followed by a Super Factory, and get a small daily stream of Gems.

Food

Food is needed to feed your population; you'll need more and more of it. It's also needed to level up Settlements and construct buildings.

There are no specific locations for obtaining food. On land, you build higher levels of farms, and at sea, you fish.

Food spoils; every 9 seconds, 5% of it disappears, replaced by newly produced food.

Lumber

Lumber is needed to level up Settlements and construct buildings.

Lumber is obtained in forested areas.

On land, you build subsequent levels of Mills in forests. You can also plant a forest yourself and place a Mill there.

Stone

You'll need stone from a certain point in the game for virtually every aspect of your development.

Build stone mines on Hill and Big Mountain.

You'll need a lot of stone to build roads.

Clay

Clay isn't a typical building material; it's used to revitalize swamps and fill up rifts. You can obtain clay by flattening hills, removing mountains, and deep cleaning sea tiles.

Steel

Steel (Iron) is a very important resource, needed in large quantities later in the game for basically everything. Iron is mined in Iron Mines, located in the Hills and Big Mountains. The ore is processed into Steel in the Foundry.

Copper Vein

Use the Sensor Tower to locate Copper Veins. Copper Veins are the location for building Chip Factories.

Microchips

Microchips are required for all high-tech technologies. They are produced at Chip Factories located on Copper Vein. They are the most needed resource at the end of the game.

Oil

Oil can be mined on land and at sea using mining platforms. You'll need oil to level up your Settlements beyond level 32.

Uranium

Uranium is mined in Uranium Fields using the Uranium Refinery.

Uranium is needed late in the game to produce Uranium Batteries.

Uranium Battery

Uranium Batteries are obtained in Uranium Refineries, it is a high-level raw material for the advancement and maintenance of high-end structures.

Pollution

Pollution negatively impacts your income. Above a certain level, you experience a direct income penalty. You'll struggle with increasing pollution throughout the game; the best remedy is to plant large amounts of forests.

Energy

Energy, or rather its constant lack, will be another element you'll struggle with throughout the game, especially later on. There are several different sources of electricity, the preferred sources being Thermal Plants and Sea Generators, which should solve your energy problems.

Restoration Strength

You'll have plenty of ways to improve Restoration Strength. Take advantage of them, as the increasing difficulty of Restoration as you move away from the Main Settlement becomes very tiring over time. Restoration Strength directly impacts your gameplay time.
